Ryan Zroka, Director of Critical Reading

Ryan received his BA from UCLA and his PhD from UCSD – both in history. Before coming to Hamilton, Ryan taught at the university level for thirteen years, specializing in history, literature, and composition. Most recently, he worked as an assistant professor at Clarkson University. Prior to that, he taught for UCSD, The University of San Diego, and the Naval War College. Over the course of his career, Ryan has earned a reputation as an outstanding teacher, drawing raves on student evaluations, and earning numerous commendations for his work in the classroom. When he is not shaping young minds, Ryan spends time doing the other things he loves – reading, traveling, nature watching, listening to the oldies, and going on dates with his beautiful wife, Amy.
