Eden is a San Diego native whose parents immigrated to the United States from Moscow, Russia shortly before he was born. He graduated from Torrey Pines High School in 2012 where he participated in the school science journal, The Falconium, as a writer, editor, and treasurer. He went on to complete a B.S. in Chemistry at UCSB where he founded and led a student branch of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology(ASBMB). He is currently a Bioinformatics Specialist at a biotech startup focused on precision medicine in oncology where he builds machine learning tools to aid oncologists and patients in the treatment selection process. Aside from his academic pursuits, Eden enjoys playing pickup basketball games, eating anything new/interesting, and spending time with friends.
