Carly is a Ph.D. candidate in art history at Rutgers University and graduated summa cum laude from New York University. Her work primarily focuses on fifth-century mosaics in Italy. Thanks to numerous fellowships and grants, Carly has conducted most of her research abroad. Most recently, she was awarded the Rome Prize, which included residency at the American Academy in Rome for two years. Carly is a native San Diegan and graduated from Bishop’s, and she is glad to be back in her hometown and very excited to be working at HCC. In her spare time, she loves to dance, see live music, and play with her dog Roscoe.
