Austin is a graduate of the University of California – Santa Cruz. He has a B.S. in Applied Physics and a Masters in, you guessed it, Theater Arts. Through Austin’s diverse educational background he has acquired a diverse teaching background as well. He has tutored math and physics on a private level, worked as a teaching assistant for theater, logic, and statistics classes in college, and, during the last year, acted as a substitute teacher both at Francis Parker’s Upper School and Coronado Unified School District, teaching whatever they could throw at him. It’s an understatement to say how relieved he is to be back in his comfort zone, teaching Math EXP at Hamilton. In his spare time, you can catch Austin zipping around uptown area on his bicycle or crushing a gnarly bouldering problem out in Santee.
