Leon is a native of the San Diego area. He recently graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Physiology and Neuroscience and a minor in Psychology. During his time at UCSD, he worked in multiple research labs and served as a teaching assistant for various science courses in the Division of Biological Sciences. He currently interns at the Palomar Medical Center and works at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, conducting research in the field of alcohol and drug addiction. As a pre-medical student, Leon believes that through teaching, an individual can inspire other students to not only develop intellectually but also be more confident in their own abilities to reach for the best possible version of themselves. In his free time, he loves to explore, spend time with family, and exercise.
