Jonathan Piliser, Director of College Counseling

Jonathan grew up in San Diego before moving across the country to attend Columbia University. At Columbia, Jonathan studied English and Comparative Literature. From there, Jonathan was a Teach for America corps member in New Mexico, where he taught high school AP English for several years before returning to San Diego and earning a master’s degree in school counseling. Jonathan was awarded the prestigious Dale C. Burklund Memorial Scholarship at the Stanford University Faculty Club. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of school counseling at the graduate level, and is the only award of its kind in California. Jonathan has college counseling experience working in the counseling department of Patrick Henry High School and other San Diego Unified schools. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys reading, playing guitar, hiking, and exploring different parts of San Diego.
