Erica Rangel

As a San Diego local, Erica went north for four years to University of California, Santa Barbara to earn a degree in English and Black Studies. Following her bachelor’s degree, she earned a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Irvine. After some time working for UCI as a marketing planner, she realized her passion was in teaching and interacting with students on a daily basis. After she received her credential and Master’s in Teaching, Erica moved back to San Diego to work as an English teacher at Poway High School. In her time there, she has taught American Literature and sophomore English, and currently teaches AP English Language and honors Humanities. In her spare time, Erica enjoys cooking, reading, and practicing Carpool Karaoke on the off chance some day she’s a superstar and gets invited onto James Corden’s talk show.
