Originally from New Jersey, Emma flew across the country to get her BA in Literature & Writing at UC San Diego, followed by her MFA in Creative Writing at Chapman University. She has a flash fiction piece titled “The Disappearing Act,” various blog posts from Chapman University’s “From Our Eyes” Blog, as well as many articles from the coffee non-profit I’M NOT A BARISTA, published. During Emma’s time at UC San Diego, she taught a nonfiction workshop via Zoom due to the COVID pandemic. Later on, she taught kids from the ages of 10-15 how to craft a story and make it into an audiobook at the summer camp Adventures in Writing. When Emma wasn’t working or in school, she was helping friends and family with their own college writing course essays, and college admissions essays—anything from undergraduate, to graduate, to PA, to medical school, she has done it all. Emma loves all forms of creative writing, specifically long-form fiction writing. Her thesis for her graduate program was a YA fantasy novel. She also has a background in tutoring AP Literature and honors English courses, as well as a background in performing, specifically in musical theater and choir. Her dream is to eventually become a professor of literature and writing and an author.
