Chandra received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Concordia University in Austin, Texas and managed her own freelance writing and editing business for 20 years, including publishing three of her own nonfiction books. She then earned her Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, graduating summa cum laude, and began a career teaching college-level English in San Diego. Chandra has taught at Cuyamaca College, University of San Diego, UC San Diego, and many other independent language schools. She started tutoring with Hamilton Education in 2018, helping high school students prepare for the SAT and ACT and improve their critical reading and essay writing skills. Chandra has also taught the Brainiacs summer reading enrichment courses to grades 5-8. When she’s not teaching English, she is a registered yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher, and loves hanging out with her pet rabbit.
