Mike is originally from San Diego, CA. He graduated with a bachelor’s in history from Temple University and a master’s in history from San Diego State University. While attending SDSU, he researched the use of jazz as a diplomatic tool during the Cold War. This research brought him to archives at University of the Pacific, Eisenhower Presidential Library, and the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Mike has been a Teaching Assistant for history and humanities college courses and enjoys teaching the process of writing. His interests outside of education include hiking, road tripping, and woodburning.
