Mic Defronzo

Math Instructor

Mic DeFronzo was born and raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey. As a young man, he worked and traveled the country building custom homes in South Carolina, Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Utah. At every turn, Mic realized his ability for problem-solving and using principles of mathematics to do so. Mic entered college as a nontraditional student and began to realize his passion for education in 2002. While working on his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah, Mic chose math as his field of interest. He was later inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon, the national honorary society of mathematics that encourages and promotes scholarly activity in the field. Throughout his years of education and teaching, Mic has developed a special gift in communicating math to those who will struggle to understand it. He inspires students to make deep connections with the subject matter that propel them to the highest levels of achievement. He loves being able to share math with anyone who is interested. Mic consistently receives rave reviews from students for his ability to effectively explain and convey difficult mathematical concepts and instill confidence in their successes.
