Julia Qi

Assistant Director

Julia is currently finishing her M.A. in International Educational Development from Columbia University, Teachers College. She received her B.A. with honors in Sociology and Global Studies- Politics, Rights, & Development from New York University. While studying abroad at NYU Shanghai, Julia interned with an international market research and consulting firm, where she gained an interest in global education. Upon returning to the states, Julia worked as an educational consultant in New York City, working with families, instructors, and admissions representatives in K-12 and university admissions. She has also had experience as a math and reading tutor, essay specialist, and a contracted consultant in partnership with the NYC Department of Education. Born in a small Northeastern Chinese city, raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and educated in New York City, Julia is excited about the dynamic changes in policy and practice of educational systems, and hopes to bring her cultural, academic, and professional experiences to families of Hamilton Education. Julia speaks Mandarin Chinese, and is likely to be found at a gym in her spare time practicing her second passion of empowering women through strength/weight training.
