Clinton Barnes
Clinton Barnes
Humanities Tutor
Clinton is a Critical Reading and Writing tutor. After growing up in Chula Vista (go Olympian Eagles!), Clinton earned his B.A. in Rhetoric at UC Berkeley in three years, where he served as an editor for a student-run undergraduate academic journal. Clinton is a Presidential Graduate Research Fellow at SDSU where he is pursuing a M.A. degree at SDSU in Rhetoric and Writing Studies. As a graduate student, Clinton tutors and teaches introductory writing at the university level. Clinton believes the critical thinking fostered by the teaching of reading and writing are widely applicable both inside and outside of the classroom, which he keeps in mind while attending to the specific needs of each student. If he’s not teaching or working on his thesis, Clinton spends his spare time (of which he has less and less these days!) playing and live-streaming video games, listening to music, and exploring the city.
