Brian has spent the bulk of his professional career helping students grow as writers and produce high-level texts. While still attending graduate school at the University of North Florida, Brian helped establish the university's first writing center, teaching and tutoring for classes like Business Writing, Technical Writing, and Creative Writing. After earning an M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric and spending a year as an adjunct writing professor at Broward College, Brian made the move to San Diego to teach English and Surf PE at The Grauer School. While Brian enjoys many aspects of teaching English, it's clear that working with students one-on-one to develop individualized voice and style in writing is his greatest passion. Outside of his work at Hamilton Education, Brian enjoys surfing, hiking, traveling, and playing ukulele.
