Ben Yeager

Ben is from New York. He graduated with a bachelor’s in English from Dickinson College and spent some time in the publishing industry working for literary agencies. He’s also a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and the MFA program at the University of Montana, where he concentrated in fiction, taught undergraduate composition and fiction workshops but spent most of his time fly-fishing for trout. Ben's career has been quote-unquote varied; he wrote for and edited a local newspaper in Alaska and was an Editorial Fellow at Outside Magazine in New Mexico. He’s worked in the plant and flower industry in Manhattan, been a tutor, a garbage-collector, babysitter, a technical writer, and spent summers as an ocean lifeguard on Fire Island teaching camp students about sharks. Ben relocated to San Diego recently from Rockaway Beach, Queens, because the water is warmer, and the climate will be easier on his car. He is excited to continue a career in education.
