Michael hails from Western Massachusetts and received his B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Stonehill College. Before coming to Hamilton, Michael worked for Teach for America, spending two years teaching English Language Arts in Holmes County, Mississippi’s Title I Elementary school: S.V. Marshall. Michael has several years of teaching and counseling experience: including a semester as a student undergraduate lecturer in American Constitutional Law. Michael also has significant research and presentation experience at the regional and national levels and has even edited professional academic publications. Coming from a single-parent household and failing school system, Michael has earned a reputation as a passionate, hard working, though gregarious, professional who cares deeply for children and strongly believes in their potential. When he isn’t teaching, Michael enjoys reading–generally non-fiction, particularly legal or political history–calling his super-hero mother back in Boston, and spending time with his fiancée and love of his life, Celina.
